Celebrating Excellence in Women’s Leadership and Business

The Woman in Business Excellence Award recognizes an established woman entrepreneur who demonstrates outstanding business performance, leadership, professionalism, and integrity.

This award honours women who have built strong, sustainable businesses while creating meaningful impact through ethical leadership, client service, innovation, and community contribution.

The Woman in Business Excellence Award celebrates women who lead with vision, resilience, and excellence while inspiring others through the way they operate and grow their businesses.

Award Purpose

The purpose of this award is to recognize and celebrate women business leaders who consistently demonstrate excellence in business operations, leadership, client impact, and professional integrity.

This award highlights women who have created sustainable success while positively contributing to their industries, communities, and the advancement of women in business.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, nominees must:

Be a woman-owned business leader
Have operated their business for a minimum of 3 years
Demonstrate business stability, professionalism, and growth
Show strong client impact, service excellence, or market reputation
Demonstrate ethical leadership and integrity
Contribute positively to their community or industry
Have attended a BCWBN meeting from July 1, 2025, to July 1, 2026

Have built sustainable and respected businesses
Demonstrate strong leadership and decision-making
Deliver exceptional client experiences and results
Maintain high standards of professionalism and integrity
Show resilience, innovation, and consistency
Positively influence their industry or community

This award values long-term excellence, leadership, professionalism, and impact rather than popularity or visibility alone.

Who Can Nominate?

Nominations are open to clients, colleagues, community members, business peers, and BCWBN members.

Individuals may nominate:

A woman business owner
A business leader or entrepreneur
A respected colleague or mentor
A BCWBN member
Or themselves

Self-nominations are welcomed and encouraged.

Selection Process

The Woman in Business Excellence Award is peer-reviewed.

Nominations are reviewed by a selected panel using the award criteria, application responses, and supporting materials.

The review process focuses on:

Business excellence and professionalism
Leadership and integrity
Client and community impact
Business growth and sustainability
Demonstrated achievements and measurable success
Alignment with values-driven leadership

This is not a public voting or popularity-based award.

The intention is to recognize women who have demonstrated genuine excellence, leadership, and long-term impact through their businesses.
